Companion Review Excerpt
I’ve submitted my review for the Companion to UncleBear.com. If it gets accepted and posted, I’ll submit a link here. In the meantime, here is a snippet:

Style/Format
The Companion is written in the same irreverent style as Risus itself. A touch of humor on almost every page. It’s 64-pages are in a clean 2 column format with instances of sidebars and stick figures...

Keepin' it simple
For my first thought of the moment, a confession:
What amuses me of Risus is that its strength is based on collective knowledge. Everybody knows what a pirate is good at, so why spend time and words trying to precisely define it? Let’s act like a pirate and everything will work.

It's better in color
My core “book” for Risus is to print off the booklet versions of the PDF files (Risus + Big List of RPG Plots and the Companion (stuck in between Risus and the Big List of RPG Plots in that booklet). I get one book with everything I need.
Well, I finally printed this out in color, and I must say, it is better that way (somehow).

Any other Risus thinkers?
Do you have any thoughts on Risus that you’d like to share? Technically, this page is a Group tumblr page. I am open to the idea of letting other people contribute. Just leave me a comment with your email address (do something to help prevent the spambots from harvesting it) and I will send you an invite (you will need to register with tumblr to post).

Companion Review?
I think it is strange that there isn’t a review of the Risus Companion up at RPG.net. Maybe I’ll write one up and either post it here or over at Unclebear.com (where I’m doing occasional guest blog posts.
